A 27-YEAR CONVERSATION ABOUT MONEY – HOW I INTEND TO KEEP IT GOING
At the end of June 2025, I retired from my full-time position as personal finance columnist at The Globe and Mail. The actual job over my 27 years was writing columns, newsletters and blog posts, plus producing videos and podcasts.
But I always thought of my work as an ongoing conversation with people about money. Their wins and losses in their daily finances, their investments and their big decisions about home ownership, inheritances and much more.
I’m putting this experience to work in the next leg of my career. I’ll do some writing for the Globe on a semi-regular basis starting in the fall, and some speaking and consulting. Also, look out for a newsletter in the next couple of months.
My focus is personal finance strategy. Not just what people should do with their money, but how to actually get things done. Let’s keep the conversation going. You can reach me at robcarrickpf@gmail.com, or on LinkedIn.
